Brooke Shelby Photography Blog bio picture
  • WELCOME!

    Welcome to the Brooke Shelby Photography Blog! I am Erin Mueller, the owner and main photographer for BSP. What can I say? I have loved taking pictures ever since my parents gave me very first film camera when I was 8 years old. We were on our way to Disney world and I couldn’t wait to capture every single moment. I have been snapping away ever since. After spending many years in the corporate world, I decided to pursue my passion for photography. I started helping my friends and family capture their special moments and Brooke Shelby Photography was born. Brooke Shelby Photography is based in the Dallas/Ft Worth Metroplex. I am an on-location, natural light photographer.

    I am married to my best friend, Doug, who has been my loudest cheerleader and supporter in my pursuit of growing Brooke Shelby Photography. Doug is my second shooter at weddings and special sessions. We are the proud parents of two boys that keep us on our toes. We are expecting our third baby in September 2013.

Meet Baby “G” {Coppell Newborn Photographer}

I had so much fun meeting this sweet baby girl and catching up with her Mom.  I love that Mom wanted to utilize her wedding dress for a few special photos of her new baby girl.  Mom and Dad had just celebrated their one year anniversary so it was a special week.  Thanks B Family for a great session.  G is absolutely beautiful and I truly enjoyed meeting her and capturing all of her newborn cuteness!  Enjoy this lil sneak peek!

Baby “D” is 6 months! {Frisco Child Photographer}

Remember this sweet boy?

I can’t believe it’s already been 3 months!  We took the above picture during his 3 month session and we had his 6 month session this week.  This sweet boy has such a sweet lil personality.  Baby D’s Mom and I could probably chat forever.  I just adore this family.  We had some great laughs and I loved that I helped to capture some sweet and tender moments of Mom and Baby D together.  Thanks G family!!!

Doug and I truly enjoyed capturing this special couples’ wedding.  Lindsey was so laid back and just genuinely excited to marry Hunter.  Her calm attitude was amazing.  I loved how she was “adventurous” and didn’t mind in the slightest getting in a field of wild flowers/grass.  The whole day was truly special.  Thank you to Hunter and Lindsey for honoring us with capturing your day.  We wish you many happy years together!!!

I’m back on the blogging bandwagon!

Let’s just say that the last 18 months have been BUSY.  I took a step back from blogging as I juggled my ever expanding business and being a Mommy to my two little boys.  I have always posted on Facebook and I wanted to get back to the blog world.  I will be blogging some from my sessions as well as announcing contests, special sessions, upcoming photography education courses, and just fun observations.

Thanks for sticking with me and I hope you enjoy reading a little about my crazy life as a photographer, Mom to three (baby due in September), Wife to an awesome hubby, and just general happenings.

For now I will leave you with a few images of my “babies”. We had a construction themed birthday party for the boys, so we ventured out to a construction site to capture them playing.

Hard to believe that this big kid will be 4 next month!  Where has the time gone?  Of course he asks me every single day when the baby is coming out of my tummy.

This little man is two.  He’s finally getting some hair and he is still obsessed with trucks and balls.  Love

These two absolutely love each other.  My favorite time of day is listening to them giggle right before bedtime.
